Abilities: As a shadow charmer he has the normal abilities and one special ability that is his unique Shadow charmer ability he can turn himself into complete shadow and change his shape in shadow form.
1.immune to all magical manipulation of emotion, from magical fear to the guilt of stealing a unicorn horn.
2.perceive dark & evil elements invisible to others. This later magnifies into being able to see anything invisible to others.
3.speak and understand the languages of dark creatures, from demons to trolls.
4.shade walk, meaning that away from bright light he is nearly invisible.
5.trusted more by dark creatures than other humans, although the degree to which this is effective varies from creature to creature.
6.has a link to undead creatures, being able to hear their minds and they his.
7.Quench flames
8.Change the temperature in a room.
9.See in almost complete darkness.
10.Turn into complete shadow.
11 the power to control and work with undead creatures and wraiths if they say they will serve him.

Personality: Mason is very serious in situations involving his cousin or any friends. He would die to defend them and has almost on many occasions. He likes to joke around and have fun too, as a Caretaker he gets his work done and goes into the forest a lot during the day and sometimes at night to do business with demons because he is a shadow charmer and they trust him. The Demons he does business with are the harmless ones who are on the side of the Fairy queen and he tries to avoid evil ones as much as he can. He is very loving and friendly and likes to have fun and go on many adventures and plans to explore the whole Preserve and meet many creatures to befriend. He is very brave which could get him into a lot of trouble because he cares for others safety more than his own. He also doesnt know when to stop exploring and if he runs into danger he will go head on into it for the fun of it.
History: When Mason was younger he would always spend time with his cousin and best friend Jace. They would always spend time hanging out and doing stuff kids there age did all the time. That all changed when Jace left for college. Mason was sad because he didnt see him anymore but he got over it. One day he was out walking the road when he ran into someone called the Sphinx, he told him all about fairies and magic creatures and after a few years made him a member of the nights of Dawn Where he met his soon to be wife Ally. On the night he proposed a Demon named Zurach approached him and told him if he wanted to live happy with her he had to take her into the woods under the stars. At the time he didnt know he was a Demon so he took her and a few hours of laying there he asked the question and she started to cry. There wedding was going to be that week but after they began to walk out they were ambushed by the Demon and in the end He killed her and got away. He was so heart broken he couldnt talk to anyone for almost a year until Jace came back with the news that they were going to get to get their grandparents preserve.
One night while taking care of a man who was poisoning the river. They then visited a demon who awoke there true powers and they could do as they pleased with them. They chose the path of light and use there powers to help others and one day it might come in handy if they happen to be out on a Harvest night or in times of battle. After losing his soon to be wife he met a Dragon who took the form of a wizard and helped him create a Golem. He named the Golem Mog and they soon became best friends even though Mog is made of rock he has a heart. He follows orders but can not speak. The Wizard Granted Mog the ability of free will so to not trap the beast as a slave.
